Chelsea Maniscalco, DMD - Dentist
Originally from Cumming, Georgia, Dr. Maniscalco joined Cahaba Medical Care in August 2018. She completed her undergraduate degree at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she studied biology and played college soccer. She went on to attend dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was a National Health Service Corps scholarship recipient and is currently fulfilling her service at CMC’s dental clinic in Centreville. She resides in Birmingham with her husband, Lee, and their dog, Jackson. When she is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
Jennifer Wright, DMD - Dentist
Dr. Jennifer Wright came out of retirement to join Cahaba Medical Care in 2017. She graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1984 and completed the General Practice Residency Program in 1987. After moving to Tuscaloosa in 1991, she began working at a private practice with Dr. Edwin Brannon and eventually took over the practice. Her favorite part of dental practice is getting to know her patients. Some of her best friends are former patients, and watching as children grow up, marry and start their own families has given her great joy. Before she retired, she saw patients spanning three and four generations at her practice. She and her husband, Bob, who is also a dentist at CMC, have two children and became grandparents in 2016.
Robert Wright, DMD - Dentist
Karen Sessoms, RDH - Dental Hygienist
Karen Sessoms has worked in Centreville for more than 20 years in the dental field and joined the Cahaba Medical Care team in August 2016 when CMC opened its first dental office. She received her registered dental hygienist license from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2002. She and her husband, Michael, have two sons, Mason and Matthew. "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him." Psalm 34:8
Karen Fondren, RDH - Dental Hygienist
Karen Fondren is a native of Bibb County and joined Cahaba Medical Care in June of 2017. She has been working in the dental field since 1989 and started her career in Greensboro as a dental assistant. She received her registered dental hygienist license from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1991. After working several years in Demopolis, Karen moved back to her beloved Bibb County in 1998 to raise her family. She and her husband, David, have two wonderful children, Brianna and Watson, and are members of Four Point Baptist Church in Centreville.
